TURTLE

Turtle was found being kicked around like a soccer ball by children on a school yard. Her ears had been horribly mutilated and were still bleeding. Luckily ARME saved her and found her a beautiful forever home!

Olive

Hi, my name is Olive. I was abandoned on the streets and was very sick. Luckily, I found a new home!

Elton and Gene

Elton and Gene came from a sickly feral cat colony and were so bonded, we couldn't bare to separate them, so we didn't! They found a lovely home by the beach with other furry friends and a wonderful mom, living the good life!

Norton
Norton is now a permanent member of the ARME household!

PUPPIES
All four of these abandoned pups have found new great homes thanks to compassionate people who know that adopting is better than buying!

These pups are growing up fast and are so lucky to have great homes! Here are some of their new pictures.

Max
Max (now Jack!) went from an unwanted man to a very Wanted Man! Now, he lives the life of luxury in Beverly Hills with a huge yard, pool, and many friends!

Charlie
Rescued after he was dumped at the pound, ARME got him out and into a loving home where he frequently visits the beach with his new best bud, Bengal

Zeus
Zeus was adopted by an adoring family and now lives the life he was meant to have, with freedom and love. Click here to see his story

OSCAR
OSCAR was rescued from the West Valley pound by ARME. He was a four week old feral kitten destined for death when ARME took him in. He is now is a wonderful home with other kittens.

Sadie
SADIE was rescued by ARME off of death row at the South L.A. pound. She has now been adopted into a wonderful loving home! Here she is with her new family.

Rufus brought a very special kind of joy and light into our lives.
We were so very blessed to know this giant senior full of love and know that his year with us helped his transition to Rainbow Bridge.

Oliver
Oliver was rescued by ARME when he was 3 days old. Bottle feeding every 2-3 hours took place for three weeks. Now Oliver is a happy and healthy puppy!

Cabo
“Cabo” was dumped at the South Central pound without a mom, having just been born. ARME got the call so, of course, we took him in! We bottle fed him and a surrogate mom named Chula made sure he had plenty of TLC! As soon as he was ready, he was adopted into a wonderful, loving home. He now shares his life with two great humans and another doggie named Cantina and spends his days on the beach..

Abby and her seven nursing pups were destined for death at the East Valley pound. With enough donations we were able to get them all out of there and into a safe, warm home. Once weaned, all of the pups were placed in loving homes. Abby lives with the family that first fostered her and her pups.

I found Chula pregnant, emaciated and unable to stand in a cage filled with five other dogs at the pound. When I asked about her chances, I was told she would be "euthanized" that night because she was going to give birth the next day and the pound will not allow birth to take place on the premises. Of course I filled out adoption papers immediately and to my surprise I was told that she would be taken the following morning for an abortion and spaying. When I asked how they could abort puppies that were due the following day, they replied, "That's our policy." The following morning I waited outside the veterinary office
until they opened. As it turned out, Chula was too ill to undergo anesthesia. I took her home and the next day she gave birth to 11 healthy puppies. All the puppies were placed in wonderful homes and Chula is a permanent member of the ARME household.

Bella was rescued from the pound just as she was about to be killed. A kind shelter employee caught us and asked if we would take her because she was on the kill table, labeled "vicious", but the employee knew she wasn't. We took her right away. Little Bella was the opposite of vicious! Scared and starved for attention, she cowered every time we came near her, but her little tail wagged. She was adopted into a loving home and lives like the princess she is!

Whew! Pryor was a rescue like no other! We received a call that there was an abandoned house with a dog in the front yard without food or water. We investigated and as it turned out, the owners of the house were evicted and decided to simply leave Pryor there alone -- fate unknown. We tried to take him, but he was so scared, he would run and hide. And then, like the loyal dog he was, growl and bark. He waited by the gate for days, hoping his family would come back, but they never did. After gathering many volunteers together, we were able to get Pryor and put him in a kennel until we could figure out what to do with him. He wouldn't let us touch him, so he was not adoptable. Luckily, Richard and Jennifer Pryor got involved and contacted a rescue ranch in Texas. They said they would take him! So, off he flew to Texas, where after a few months, he was a completely different dog- full of kisses and cuddles. He still awaits his forever home, but in the meantime, gets to play with the others in between snacks of Texas home-cookin!

Benji was considered a lost cause. He was sick, in the "isolation room" at the South L.A. pound. Animals in isolation are never seen by the general public, and once their time is up, they are killed. Luckily, we got in there in time and got Benji out. He lives in a loving home!
